Jeremy Hammond began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey at a Rickson Gracie gym in 2009 before joining the Ground Control team in 2011. In 2023, he was awarded his Brown Belt by Max Geminis and currently trains under Ground Control black belts Alexandre Bueno and Jason Goyer. With a passion for teaching that began in youth sports, Jeremy started coaching and leading classes as a Purple Belt, where he discovered his true calling, helping others grow on the mat. While he has competed and coached in various BJJ competitions, his primary focus is on developing well-rounded practitioners with a strong foundation in the fundamentals. In recent years, Jeremy has expanded his training to include Muay Thai, boxing, and MMA, enriching his BJJ approach by integrating elements of striking and mixed martial arts into his coaching.
