Range and Rhythm: Muay Thai Kicking Fundamentals
Power may be one of the first things people notice about Muay Thai kicks, but an effective kick depends on much more than how hard
Dear parents,
I wanted to take a moment to discuss the importance of trust between parents and coaches during Jiu-Jitsu classes.
As a parent, it’s natural to want to be involved in your child’s activities and make sure they’re safe and happy. However, when it comes to martial arts, it’s important to trust your child’s coach and allow them to take the lead during classes. This is particularly important in Jiu-Jitsu, where there are specific techniques and strategies that need to be taught in a certain way for maximum effectiveness and safety.
When parents interfere during classes, it can disrupt the flow of the class and make it difficult for the coach to provide proper instruction. It can also confuse the child and potentially lead to injury if the parent’s advice contradicts the coach’s teachings.
Trusting your child’s coach during Jiu-Jitsu classes not only ensures a safe and productive learning environment, but it also shows your child that you have confidence in their coach and their abilities. This can boost their confidence and motivation, which is essential for success in any martial art.
Our coaches and instructors are committed to providing a safe, fun, and effective learning environment for all students. They are always available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about your child’s progress, and we always encourage open communication between parents and coaches. However, during kids classes, it is always best for parents to trust the experience and expertise of the coaches and allow them to lead the way.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. We look forward to seeing your child’s continued progress in martial arts.
Best regards,
Ground Control
